The door opens and his hand gently touches your back as you make you way through the maze of tables that are all finely decorated. You stand in awe at a table by a window with a view overlooking the river. "Only the best for you," he says as the chair he prepares for you slides against the sparkling-green tiles. The large windows are partially covered by white curtains that glitter in the lighting. There is a low hum of conversation filling the room, but it is like the backdrop of a photo, faded and in the background. His face is glowing with joy as he sits across from you. He has pursued you for a while and you finally said "Yes".
Sitting now, you adjust your dress. Looking up, feeling a bit insecure, your eyes shyly dart away from his sincere and heartfelt gaze. "You are beautiful," he says with no sign of any veiled motive. Unable to speak, you smile.
But, behind your smile, questions arise. What do you see? What are your intentions? Who are you, really? Can I trust you? What are you thinking? Your darting eyes and fidgeting hands must have given you away.
He reaches over gently covering your hand with his and says, "Ask me and I will tell you. Seek me and I will show you. Knock and I will open up the mysteries of my heart to you. It is my pleasure to be here with you."

Its in this place, sitting at the table with Jesus, that the heart of God is made open for you to ask, seek, knock -- To DISCOVER! Meditate on the Truth of Who you are and What it means to be One with Jesus, One with His Spirit, and One with ABBA. For the one who joins himself to the Lord is mingled into one spirit with him (1 Cor. 6:17 TPT).

This is why the scriptures say: Things never discovered or heard of before, things beyond our ability to imagine -- these are the many things God has is in store for all his lovers. But now God unveils these profound realities to us by the Spirit. Yes, he has revealed to us his inmost heart and deepest mysteries through the Holy Spirit, who constantly explores all things. After all, who can really see into a person's heart and know his hidden impulses except for that person's spirit? So it is with God. This thoughts and secrets are only fully understood by His Spirit, the Spirit of God.
You, being a follower of Jesus Christ (having said YES) have been given the Spirit of God. You have a divine privilege to seek God's heart behind his actions. The mind of Christ is open to you. We read the word of God and read the how, when, and where - but the (deep) WHO and WHY questions are hidden behind the text for those who love God and choose to seek Jesus through God's Spirit. God is pursuing you. It brings God joy to lead you to the table for your 1st or 500th date so that a relationship is built that will never fade away. Follow the leading of the Holy Spirit as He leads you to the table of his presence and 'fire-away'.
